Who we're looking for

Toyota's Human Resources Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Employee Relations Analyst.

The Employee Relations Analyst plays a vital role in managing daily employee relations activities to ensure a fair, compliant, and productive workplace. This position is responsible for conducting investigations, facilitating corrective actions, and providing data analysis and fact-based recommendations to support Group Leaders and Management in policy interpretation and team member relations management. The Analyst balances operational demands with administrative responsibilities, fostering positive labor relations and supporting organizational compliance.

Reporting to the Team Member Relations Manager, this role directly impacts the department and broader business units by maintaining consistent adherence to policies, driving compliance initiatives such as attendance audits and ethics training, and supporting HR strategic objectives like the One Toyota business plan. The Analyst's work reduces workplace conflicts, enhances employee morale, and ensures timely resolution of issues, thereby contributing to Toyota's overall operational effectiveness and positive work environment.

This position requires a proactive, self-starting approach to ensure continuous support for employee relations activities and compliance without direct oversight.

This onsite position is based in Huntsville, Alabama. The selected candidate will be expected to reside within commutable distance of this location.

What you'll be doing

  • Manage employee relations cases and conduct investigations. Lead fact-finding investigations, document findings, and facilitate corrective action processes to ensure fair and compliant resolutions.

  • Support Group Leaders and Management with policy interpretation and guidance. Advise leadership on team member relations policies, assist in corrective action issuance, and provide recommendations to maintain consistent policy adherence.

  • Coordinate labor management systems and compliance activities. Oversee Effective Daily Labor Management (EDLM) data entry, attendance audits, ethics training tracking, and HR annual audits to ensure regulatory compliance and accurate reporting.

  • Data analytics. Utilize data analytics and understanding key business needs to visualize trends, support decision-making, and communicate insights effectively to leadership.

  • Analyze trends and generate reports to support HR initiatives. Track employee relations metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPI's), identify patterns, and provide insights to drive continuous improvement aligned with One Toyota business objectives.

  • Facilitate team engagement and communication forums. Organize Executive Round Table meetings, HR Round Table meetings, new hire orientation policy training, and team-building activities to foster positive workplace culture.

  • Collaborate with legal and HR partners on complex cases. Work closely with legal counsel for concurrence on investigations and support escalation processes as needed to mitigate risk.

What you bring

  • Bachelor's degree or higher OR equivalent professional work experience relevant to this position

  • Human resources, employee relations, and/or investigations experience

  • Proven ability to manage multiple daily tasks and projects with minimal direction

  • Experience handling confidential matters and documentation

  • Experience managing conflict resolution

  • Experience coaching employees at all levels of the organization

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Ability and willingness to support rotating shifts of 6:00 AM to 2:45 PM and 4:45 PM to 1:30 AM

Added bonus if you have

  • Data analytics experience is highly preferred

  • Proficiency with Power BI, Python, Excel pivot charts, and/or similar data analytics tools

  • Bachelor's degree or higher specifically in Human Resources or Business Management

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is highly preferred

  • Toyota Production System tools experience
