THE JOB:
The primary responsibility of the Employee Relations & Accommodations HR Specialist is to provide specialized support for the Employee Relations and Accommodations functions. This role focuses on the intake, triage, and management of cases within the case management system, manages cases independently, and provides comprehensive support to the ER/Accommodations department. All duties are performed in accordance with departmental standards and MGM Resorts International policies, practices, and procedures.
THE STARTING RATE: $25.00 per hour
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
  • Manages the intake and triage process for Employee Relations and Accommodation cases, including managing email inboxes, assigning/opening cases, and responding to initial inquiries.
  • Independently manages a caseload of low to moderate complexity matters from intake to resolution.
  • Provides support to senior members of the department on more complex investigations and accommodation requests.
  • Prepares and audits investigatory and accommodation files for stakeholders; keeps leadership informed of all pertinent information and case status.
  • Schedules and coordinates meetings with employees, management, and other stakeholders related to case management.
  • Manages strict confidentiality of all information, including medical information and investigations, exercising sound judgment in handling sensitive data and situations.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
  • Have a High School Diploma or GED
  • Has 1+ Years of prior relevant experience in Human Resources with a focus on Employee Relations, Accommodations, or a related area
  • Have a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field - Preferred
  • PHR/SPHR Certification - Preferred
  • Previous experience working in Leave and Disability, Accommodations, Employee and Labor Relations - Preferred
  • Previous experience working in a hospitality, entertainment, or similar resort setting - Preferred
  • Bilingual skills - Preferred
