Addison Group is partnering with our client, a leading professional services organization, to identify an experienced Talent Development Manager (HR Business Partner) with a strong background in Learning & Development, leadership development, manager training, and talent management.


Job Description

This is a strategic talent development opportunity focused on strengthening leadership capabilities, improving manager effectiveness, and supporting employee growth across the organization. The role will design and deliver learning programs, leadership development initiatives, and practical resources that help managers effectively lead, coach, develop, and engage their teams.


In addition to its strong Learning & Development focus, this position will support broader talent initiatives including performance management, talent assessment, succession planning, employee engagement, retention, and organizational effectiveness. The Talent Development Manager will partner closely with leaders and HR stakeholders to identify organizational needs and develop targeted solutions.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver leadership and manager development programs that support organizational growth.
  • Create engaging training content, resources, and tools for managers and employees.
  • Facilitate leadership workshops, training sessions, and other learning experiences.
  • Build programs focused on leadership skills, coaching, communication, feedback, and performance.
  • Incorporate adult learning and instructional design principles into development programs.
  • Identify development needs and create solutions to address leadership and capability gaps.
  • Assess the effectiveness of learning programs and make recommendations for continued improvement.
  • Support performance management processes, including annual reviews, talent discussions, and promotions.
  • Contribute to succession planning, talent assessment, employee development, and high-potential initiatives.
  • Partner with leaders to support employee engagement, development, and retention.
  • Leverage employee and talent data to identify trends and inform development initiatives.
  • Act as a resource to managers and leaders on employee development, performance, and engagement.
  • Collaborate with HR colleagues and business leaders on talent and organizational development initiatives.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to other HR team members.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • 6–10 years of progressive HR experience with significant responsibility in Learning & Development, Talent Development, Leadership Development, Performance Management, Organizational Effectiveness, or Employee Engagement.
  • Demonstrated experience designing, delivering, and evaluating leadership development and manager training programs.
  • Experience facilitating workshops, training sessions, and group learning experiences for leaders and employees.
  • Strong knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design, and leadership development best practices.
  • Experience supporting talent assessment, succession planning, performance reviews, and employee development initiatives.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR, or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Professional services or law firm experience preferred.
