Job description

RESPONSABILITES PRINCIPALES

  • Assurer le recrutement et l'embauche du personnel de la succursale de Laval, incluant la preparation et la participation aux entrevues.
  • Maintenir a jour les descriptions de taches ainsi que les documents d'accueil et d'orientation destines aux nouveaux employes.
  • Maintenir a jour l'organigramme de l'organisation.
  • Planifier, organiser et coordonner les activites de formation du personnel en fonction des besoins identifies et des programmes en vigueur.
  • Elaborer et administrer le programme de gestion de l'assiduite, et conseiller les gestionnaires quant a son application, le cas echeant.
  • Conseiller et soutenir les gestionnaires dans l'application des mesures disciplinaires.
  • Assurer la gestion administrative des dossiers des employes (embauche, changements, promotions, transferts, ajustements, fins d'emploi), dans le respect des regles de confidentialite.
  • Collaborer etroitement avec le directeur des operations afin de soutenir les besoins operationnels et les initiatives en ressources humaines.
  • Assurer la gestion des feuilles de temps des employes horaires.
  • Gerer les postes de travail des employes horaires dans les differents systemes de l'entreprise.
  • Preparer les reponses aux griefs et effectuer les enquetes preliminaires, au besoin.
  • Agir a titre de personne-ressource lors des negociations visant le renouvellement de la convention collective.
  • Agir a titre de personne-ressource lors des enquetes pour conflit, plaintes, etc... 
  • Assurer la gestion des dossiers d'accidents du travail, incluant le suivi des reclamations aupres de la CNESST, les expertises ainsi que le calcul et le suivi des taux de cotisation.
  • Agir a titre de personne-ressource pour les questions relatives au regime de retraite et aux regimes d'avantages sociaux.
  • Rediger les affichages de postes, les confirmations d'emploi, les notes de service et diverses communications en ressources humaines.
  • Rediger et assurer le suivi des mesures disciplinaires et des avis destines aux employes syndiques.
  • Traduire divers documents en ressources humaines et autres documents corporatifs pour le siege social.
  • Assurer la gestion des vacances des employes syndiques de la succursale de Laval.
  • Produire et assurer le suivi des rapports destines a l'Office quebecois de la langue francaise (OQLF).
  • Agir a titre de partenaire d'affaires aupres des gestionnaires en matiere de gestion des ressources humaines.
  • Veiller a la conformite des pratiques RH avec les lois du travail, les conventions collectives et les politiques de l'entreprise.
  • Support pour le Groupe d'Emballage du Quebec

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Diplome d'Etudes collegial ou baccalaureat un atout
  • 3 ans d'experience dans le domaine connexe
  • Experience dans un milieu syndique un atout
  • Bilingue (francais et anglais)
    • En raison de la nature du poste et des interactions regulieres avec une clientele, des partenaires et/ou des collegues situes a l'exterieur du Quebec, la maitrise du francais et de l'anglais, tant a l'oral qu'a l'ecrit, est requise afin d'assurer une communication efficace et un service de qualite.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the recruitment and hiring process for the Laval branch, including preparing for and participating in interviews. 
  • Maintain up-to-date job descriptions as well as new employee onboarding and orientation documentation. 
  • Maintain the organization's organizational chart. 
  • Plan, organize, and coordinate employee training activities based on identified needs and existing training programs. 
  • Develop and administer the attendance management program, and provide guidance to managers on its application, as required. 
  • Advise and support managers in the application of disciplinary measures. 
  • Manage the administrative aspects of employee files (hiring, status changes, promotions, transfers, salary adjustments, and terminations) while ensuring confidentiality. 
  • Work closely with the Director of Operations to support operational requirements and human resources initiatives. 
  • Manage the timekeeping process for hourly employees
  • Manage hourly employee positions and work assignments within the company's various systems. 
  • Prepare grievance responses and conduct preliminary investigations, as required. 
  • Serve as the Human Resources resource person during collective agreement renewal negotiations. 
  • Act as the primary resource for workplace investigations involving conflicts, complaints, and other employee relations matters. 
  • Manage occupational injury and workers' compensation cases, including CNESST claims administration, medical assessments, and the calculation and monitoring of assessment rates. 
  • Serve as the primary resource for questions related to the pension plan and employee benefit programs. 
  • Prepare job postings, employment confirmation letters, internal memoranda, and various Human Resources communications. 
  • Draft and administer disciplinary notices and related documentation for unionized employees. 
  • Translate Human Resources documentation and other corporate documents for Head Office. 
  • Administer vacation scheduling for unionized employees at the Laval branch. 
  • Prepare and monitor reports required by the Quebec Office of the French Language (OQLF). 
  • Act as a trusted Human Resources Business Partner to managers on all HR-related matters. 
  • Ensure HR practices comply with employment legislation, collective agreements, and company policies. 
  • Provide Human Resources support to the Quebec Packaging Group. 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • College diploma required; Bachelor's degree considered an asset. 
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a related Human Resources role.
  • Experience in a unionized environment is considered an asset. 
  • Bilingual in French and English (spoken and written). 
    • Due to the nature of the position and regular interactions with customers, business partners, and/or colleagues outside of Quebec, fluency in both French and English (spoken and written) is required to ensure effective communication and high-quality service.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
