Job description

RBR-Technologies has an immediately available opening for a TEMPEST Engineer to support the MPO customer.
Responsibilities
  • Ensure that TEMPEST testing requirements are defined by the customer's Certified TEMPEST Technical Authority (CTTA).
  • Evaluate engineering change proposal (ECP) packages to ensure the proposed changes do not impact the TEMPEST integrity of the device, or if necessary, additional TEMPEST testing is performed to recertify the device.
  • Attend technical meetings with crypto device users/customers CSCM's and vendor partners.
  • Provide TEMPEST lab testing of certified cryptographic devices to ensure it meets the current National TEMPEST standard.
  • Perform TEMPEST Field testing of cryptographic equipment to discover vulnerabilities in secure systems.
  • Provide Subject Matter Expert (SME) support when a cryptographic device has a TEMPEST vulnerability.

Required Qualifications
  • Certified TEMPEST Professional Level II (CTP-II)
  • 3+ years of experience with TEMPEST testing, and/or TEMPEST manufacturing
  • Active Polygraph (current CI Poly under 6 yrs)
  • At least 2-3 years required -RF, Electrical Engineering, or EEE experience : Understanding how digital devices generate unintentional emissions and designing countermeasures such as shielding, filtering, and grounding.
  • At least 2-3 years required - Schematic Reading & Analysis.
  • Proficiency in interpreting circuit diagrams is crucial for pinpointing potential emission sources and planning the placement of shielding or filters.
