Overview The Senior Registered Electroneurodiagnostic (END) Technologist provides staff resource information, leads in‐service training, and performs routine, advanced, and special END procedures. Responsibilities Provide day‐to‐day direction and assistance to Electroneurodiagnostic technologists. Prepare patients and perform routine procedures. Perform routine, advanced, and special END procedures such as EEG, EMG/NCV, AFT, EP, INM, LTM. Conduct END tests in accordance with established Department protocols. Ensure all equipment is clean and in working order. Initiate opportunities for self‐development and professional competency enhancement. Investigate quality‐control issues or incidents upon Manager's request. Perform other job functions as assigned. Assist in training the END Technologist Trainee. Education / Formal Training Technical Degree or Diploma in Electroneurodiagnostic Technology; Associate's Degree in Electroneurodiagnostic Technology. Experience None required. Licenses & Certifications BASIC LIFE SUPPORT – American Heart Association Registered Electroencephalographic Technologist – American Board of Registration for Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists Registered Evoked Potential Technologist – American Board of Registration for Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists Registered Nerve Conduction Study Technologist – American Association of Electrodiagnostic Technologists Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Basic mathematical skills (multiplication, division, percentages, decimals, fractions) learned in high school. Basic computer operations, including use of Windows operating system. Positive interpersonal skills with patients, families, physicians, department staff, and other hospital staff. Supervision No supervisory or lead responsibilities in this position; may assume responsibilities over Technologists in the absence of the Manager and assists in training the END Technologist Trainee. Physical Demands Scheduled nights, holidays, and weekend on‐call availability. Physical activities include crawling, climbing, pushing, standing, hearing, walking, reaching, grasping, kneeling, stooping, and repetitive motion. Exertion up to 50 lbs. occasionally or 25 lbs. frequently. Close visual acuity with color, depth perception, and field of vision required. Frequent invasive and non‐invasive patient contact.
