Job description

Team Cedar City, we are excited to announce that currently, we have 6 available positions on the Emergency Support Team. The team has been restructured recently, and we are looking forward to seeing this resource continue to be a benefit to the Cedar City Area, Employees, and Community.
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Emergency Support Team. Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Picking up 3 days a month; being available and answering calls on required days; Contacting the Emergency Support team Lead staff or Manager; Assisting in the crisis calls during assigned shifts; Completing all documentation and reports required by Chrysalis and the State of Utah; Following the Provider Code of Conduct according to DSPD standards; And other duties as assigned by the Area or Associate Director(s).
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
18 years of age or older and a high school diploma or GED. Must have good judgment in and able to handle crisis situations. Manage and understand personnel issues and deal with staff in a positive manner. Capable of communicating well in both verbal and written form. Demonstrate supervisory skills, ability to organize, and work well under pressure. Have good public relations skills in working with a variety of outside medical, professional, and state employees.
DESIRED REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability to follow Supervision Guidelines and Behavior Support Plans and Chrysalis' policies
  • Understanding of DSPD policies and the Provider Code of Conduct.
  • Have good judgment and ability to handle emergency situations.
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrate ability to remain calm in intense situations
  • Ability to be flexible to adapt to emergency situations
  • Excellent public relations skills working with the individual's team, family, and community members
  • Ability to be objective in emergency situations
