We are currently hiring Paramedics  that are passionate about delivering high-quality patient care in our progressive EMS 911 system. With over 17,000 calls for service annually you will get to provide ALS care and transport in fast-paced system while working and living in an outdoor enthusiast’s dream location! 

AMR Josephine County participates in a wide array of opportunities available within our GMR Family of healthcare solutions. In addition to providing ALS care and transport to our local community, our team enjoys additional EMS / Career opportunities by actively participating in GMR’s national FEMA team deployments during national disasters, our  National Wildland Fire Medical Resources Team which includes opportunities to learn technical rescue as a part of our Wildland Rapid Extrication Module(REM) Team, and training in critical care transport (CCT). RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assess each call situation to determine the best course of action while working with progressive Paramedic protocols in a 911 system running about 17,000 requests per year. 
  • Utilize your Paramedic skills in a progressive medical system to the full scope of an Oregon Paramedic. 
  • Communicate with patients and loved ones to provide information and assurance that care is being given.
  • Act as Paramedic team leader and take responsibility for the scene and unit management as needed
  • Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as your fellow Paramedics.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • State Paramedic License
  • State Driver’s License
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS and PHTLS or ITLS 
  • Driving record in compliance with company policy
  • Pass Physical Agility Test
  • Some work experience, preferably in healthcare
