| Aspect | Emergency Radiology Fellowship | Emergency Radiology Residency |
|---|---|---|
| Credentials | Fellowship completion, board eligibility | Residency completion, medical license |
| Work Environment | Specialized emergency radiology settings, academic hospitals | General radiology training, diverse clinical settings |
| Purpose | Advanced subspecialty training in emergency radiology | Broad training to become a radiologist with emergency focus |
The Emergency Radiology Fellowship offers specialized training after residency, focusing on advanced emergency imaging techniques. In contrast, the Emergency Radiology Residency provides comprehensive radiology education with emergency radiology as a core component. Both paths prepare physicians for work in emergency settings, but the fellowship is ideal for those seeking subspecialty expertise.
