Working in a fast-paced surgical center, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team that includes surgeons, emergency physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. The emergency department operates on a Monday to Friday schedule, with shifts starting at 5:00 PM for a total of 40 hours per week. Our facilities are designed to handle a variety of trauma cases, ensuring an efficient and supportive atmosphere for both staff and patients alike.

• Respond to trauma alerts promptly, assessing and triaging patients' conditions as they arrive at the surgical center.
• Stabilize patients and administer immediate care interventions to prevent further medical complications.
• Assist in resuscitation efforts, employing life-saving techniques during emergency situations.
• Collaborate closely with the trauma team to coordinate comprehensive interprofessional care for each patient.
• Conduct thorough physical examinations and interpret diagnostic results to guide treatment decisions.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments, ensuring adherence to protocols and best practices.
• Support healthcare providers in performing invasive procedures and managing wounds effectively.
• Educate patients and their families on trauma care procedures, recovery expectations, and prevention strategies.
• Facilitate the transfer of patients to appropriate care units or facilities, ensuring continuity of care.
• Monitor and manage patients' pain and comfort, employing a variety of pain management techniques.
• Uphold strict infection control measures and safety protocols within the trauma care setting.

In this role, you will primarily serve a diverse patient population, managing a wide range of critical injuries and acute illnesses. Our surgical center caters to individuals from various backgrounds, often presenting with conditions requiring urgent intervention. • Bachelor's Degree in a related field, followed by completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• State licensure as a Physician Assistant is mandatory.
• Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in emergency medicine or trauma care is required.
• Knowledge of trauma assessment and stabilization protocols, with the ability to perform trauma-related procedures under supervision.
• Proficient in clinical and diagnostic skills important for trauma evaluation.
