Job description

  • POSITION SUMMARY
    • An EMT who, under the guidance of the ALS Liaison, the Medical Director and the Director of Emergency Services, functions as an Emergency Medical Technician Basic. This candidate will perform a variety of activities associated with SRMC's Ambulance Service.
  • EDUCATION, CREDENTIALS, TRAINING and EXPERIENCE:
    • Minimum Required:
      • Graduate of an approved Emergency Medical Technician - Basic program, with current certification practice as an EMT - B in North Carolina.
      • BCLS certification; recertification required annually. ACLS, PALS, TNCC certifications; recertifications required biannually.
      • EMS certification (EMT-B) by NCOEMS.
    • Preferred:
      • TNCC Certification, or other approved trauma course.
