Job Description

ProSidian Seeks an Engagement Lead/Emergency Preparedness Subject Matter Expert (Mission Area Expert) to lead an engagement for The Office of Emergency Management (OEM) within The Veteran's Health Administrations (VHA) that focuses on essential VA emergency medical response and support services at the local, regional, and national levels to ensure the health and safety of our Veteran patients and their families, staff, and visitors, and continued delivery of VHA health care services.

The candidate would serve as the principal point of contact and a key interlocutor to represent ProSidian in the on-going daily processes to provide consulting support to facilitate the development and creation of a specific, measurable Three-Year Strategic Plan.

The candidate will work as a lead and facilitator with the Office of Emergency Management leadership team and staff as appropriate to develop the overarching objectives and strategic goals, engage partners to achieve buy in, determine specific metrics and dependencies.

Furthermore, the candidate shall assist in developing mission and vision statements, subsequent goal delineation, provide guidance for building operational plans and specifying measurable outcomes, KPIs in a consolidated strategic planning process and prioritizes those initiatives.

Have a strong understanding of federal government business operations and work process.

Qualifications

BS/BA degree in related field (or equivalent) plus approximately 8 years of related experience.

Responsibilities

  • Experience managing the identification, formulation and prioritization of strategic initiatives in the context of assessment of healthcare facilities emergency management plans and programs;
  • Demonstrated experience and skills in soliciting inputs and driving consensus across multiple stakeholders while performing hazard vulnerability analyses and developing effective mitigation strategies;
  • Develop, review, and critique emergency management response plans, especially in relation to healthcare operations while ensuring coordinated activities are sequenced appropriately;
  • Review and coordinate continuity of operations and other contingency plans with community leaders, coalitions, and others;
  • Possess working knowledge of a wide variety of health-related organizations, structures, missions, programs and operational doctrine i.e. VA, DOD HHS, FEMA;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and support project teams and program managers and provide daily execution assigned work functions;
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook;
  • Strong presentation skills and be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing to support a myriad of standard services required across the department
