BHS Workforce is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Rochester, New York.

Job Description & Requirements

Requirements:

  • Active RN license in state of practice (or compact license as applicable)
  • BSN preferred; ADN accepted per facility policy
  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification required
  • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) preferred
  • CEN (Certified Emergency Nurse) preferred
  • 1+ years of ER experience required
  • Experience with triage protocols and high-acuity, fast-paced environments

Duties:

  • Triage and assess incoming patients to determine acuity and prioritize care
  • Provide rapid, comprehensive nursing care to patients across a wide range of emergent and urgent conditions
  • Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per physician orders and protocols
  • Respond to trauma activations, codes, and rapid deterioration with appropriate emergency interventions
  • Monitor and manage patients awaiting admission, transfer, or discharge
  • Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and interdisciplinary team on plan of care
  • Educate patients and families on discharge instructions, follow-up care, and treatment plans
  • Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient response in the EMR
  • Maintain patient flow and throughput in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Ensure infection control, safety, and de-escalation protocols are followed
