Job description

Job Title

The duties of this position include:

Responsible for the full range of cases and the immediate initial recognition, evaluation, care, and disposition of patients.

Provide recommendations on additional diagnostic or treatment procedures in clinical conferences and/or discussions with staff physicians.

Direct and provide oversight of the operation of the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) to include nurses, paramedics, paraprofessionals, administrative and ambulance personnel and pre-hospital medical management of patients.

Provide consultative advice on professional and administrative matters concerning patient care in the Emergency Department.

Make recommendations regarding changes to policies, procedures and programs needed for efficient department operations.

Provide a broad range of medical diagnosis, treatment, counseling, services and referrals to primary care and specialty clinics.
