Children’s Counseling Center of Fredericksburg

The Children’s Counseling Center of Fredericksburg is seeking a licensed therapist to join our growing team. This role is focused on providing high-quality, compassionate care to children and adolescents, with expanding services to include family and marriage counseling.
Position Overview
We are looking for a dedicated and skilled clinician with experience in pediatric trauma, family systems, and/or EMDR therapy. The ideal candidate is passionate about working with children while also supporting families as a whole unit.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individual therapy to children and adolescents
  • Conduct family and/or marriage counseling sessions
  • Utilize evidence-based approaches, including trauma-informed care and EMDR (preferred)
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Collaborate with providers and staff as part of an integrated care team
  • Support a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment for patients and families
Qualifications
  • Active licensure in the state of Virginia (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent)
  • Experience in pediatric trauma strongly preferred
  • Training or certification in EMDR highly preferred, but not required
  • Experience in family or marriage counseling preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
