Job description

JOB SUMMARY
Perform various z/OS systems programming tasks, primarily in support of MGP (modernization) requirements and workload.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Required Experience:
  • 10+ years performing general z/OS systems programming
  • 5+ years performing installation, maintenance, configuration and support of a wide range of Broadcom products, in particular CA-7
  • z/OSMF customization and usage.

Desired Experience:
  • BlueZone mainframe emulator configuration and upgrades
  • Storage management, ideally with EMC virtual tape (DLm and Data Domain), IBM Virtual Tape (TS7770) and DASD (VMAX/PMAX), including related replication technologies such as SRDF
  • 5+ years mainframe hardware configuration and network configuration/management
  • Coupling Facility, SYSPLEX, and Structures
  • Assembler and REXX programing.

Other Requirements:
  • Inclusion in the on-call rotation to provide after-hours support
  • Perform analysis of the current environment to detect critical deficiencies and recommend solutions for improvement
  • Update and create system documentation as necessary.
