JOB SUMMARY
As an Embroidery Operator at Galls you will be responsible for ensuring Value-Added Services (VAS) are applied to garments accurately, on time, and in accordance with Galls high-quality standards. You will work cross-functionally to perform various duties, including but not limited to garment prep, sewing, emblem application, embroidery, auditing, engraving, heat press application, etc. Associates utilize several pieces of industrial machinery including embroidery equipment, sewing, engraving, and heat press machines.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
• Perform all VAS-related functions in an efficient and accurate manner
• Ability to operate various machines including sewing, embroidery, engraving, and heat-press
• Ensure high-quality standards are achieved by thoroughly reading and executing Work Instruction Document (WID) to include correct product, size, quantity, color, service to be rendered, and placement locations
• Monitor machine operation to detect problems or machine malfunction.
• Identify and communicate any job delays and/or problems
• Maintain daily production requirements and standards
• Audit finished VAS against order ticket to ensure order is completed accurately
• Maintain safe and clean work area
• Work as a team to accomplish all productivity goals efficiently and accurately
• Other tasks may be assigned as needed
WHAT YOU BRING
• High School degree or equivalent
• Previous experience in a tailorshop, alterations, seamstress, embroidery, and/or similar environment strongly desired
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English to understand and execute instructions for daily tasks and to read orders accurately
• Basic computer skills with ability to learn new software to include Galls internal systems
• Good manual dexterity, with an ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time, work in a non-climate-controlled environment, and lift up to 60lbs, with or without reasonable accommodation
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to meet deadlines while performing high-quality work
