This position is fundamentally remote, allowing flexibility while maintaining strong communication with our interdisciplinary team. Our Detox Center operates with a team-oriented approach, emphasizing collaboration even in a virtual setting. You'll interact daily with psychiatrists, nurses, and case managers, ensuring a seamless continuum of care for our patients. The role's flexibility may require attendance at occasional team meetings or training sessions, ensuring you remain embedded within our organizational culture.

• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments of patients to evaluate emotional, social, and financial needs, employing tools such as the Biopsychosocial Model to inform care strategies.
• Provide individual and group counseling tailored to address topics such as adjustment issues, grief, and coping strategies related to recovery from substance use.
• Collaborate closely with medical teams to develop integrated care plans, ensuring that emotional and psychological needs are addressed alongside physical health concerns.
• Coordinate with community resources to execute discharge plans and arrange post-discharge services, facilitating ongoing support and care for patients transitioning out of acute treatment.
• Deliver emotional support and guidance to patients and their families, equipping them with knowledge about treatment options and community resources.
• Engage in crisis intervention, providing immediate support to patients and families in times of distress.
• Participate in hospital committees focusing on improving social work practices and addressing community health challenges.
• Maintain comprehensive records and documentation in alignment with hospital policies and legal requirements, utilizing our Electronic Health Record (EHR) system for accurate and timely updates.

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Active state licensure as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in Washington.
• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of legal and ethical considerations in social work practice.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.

• A minimum of two years of experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in substance use and mental health treatment.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and an understanding of a variety of mental health disorders and crisis intervention strategies.
• Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems, enhancing your ability to maintain accurate patient documentation.
