Job description

ELECTRONICS ENGINEER I


Monaco Enterprises, Inc., a Spokane based manufacturer of fire, mass notification, and security alarm systems, is seeking a professional, result-oriented, enthusiastic candidate to participate in designing, developing, and documenting electronic products, systems and circuits.


Overall Purpose of Job:  Assist in design, develop, and document electronic products, systems and circuits.  Provide technical analysis of existing and potential new components and circuitry.  Provide technical expertise and support to in-house manufacturing personnel to assist, analyze, and troubleshoot manufacturing and testing processes. Support, maintain, and modify existing electronic products to ensure manufacturability of the product.  Provide interdepartmental support for new and existing Monaco electronic products.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Analog and digital electronic circuit design

  • Surface mount and multilayer PCB design

  • Troubleshooting and analysis of electronic systems and circuits

  • Create technical documentation and specifications

  • Develop test plans and test fixtures for production

  • Sustain existing products to enable continued production capabilities

  • Provide technical assistance to customer support and sales groups


Job Requirements:

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent field of study

  • Strong skills in circuit design and analysis pertaining to analog, digital, and embedded design

  • Basic understanding of board fabrication and design

  • Working knowledge of test equipment

  • Familiarity with ECAD tools such as OrCAD, Altium

Most hours spent standing and sitting.  Frequent lifting up to 30 pounds.  Constant fine finger manipulation, talking, hearing, and seeing.  Frequent standing, walking, climbing stairs, reaching, and repetitive motion. Occasional bending, crouching, grasping, and/or reaching above shoulder level and vibration.
