Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor a small team of embedded software engineers and systems developers.
  • Stay hands-on with embedded software design, development, code reviews, and architecture discussions.
  • Guide software projects from concept through release.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams including engineering, operations, product, and business stakeholders.
  • Help define technical direction for current and future software platforms.
  • Improve development processes, coding standards, documentation, and release practices.
  • Support project planning, prioritization, scheduling, and team performance.
  • Ensure software quality, reliability, maintainability, and scalability.

Required Skills & Experience
  • 10+ years of embedded software development experience.
  • Strong hands-on C++ development background.
  • Recent C++ experience in a production environment.
  • Experience with embedded Linux and/or Windows-based systems.
  • Prior leadership experience as a manager, team lead, technical lead, or project lead.
  • Experience leading small engineering teams or mentoring software developers.
  • Strong knowledge of full software development lifecycle.
  • Experience with source control, issue tracking, build, and release tools.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.

Preferred Skills
