Our client, a leader in the medical device industry, is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to join their team. As an Embedded Software Engineer, you will be part of the Connectivity Department supporting the development of critical embedded systems. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Embedded Software Engineer

Location:Andover, MA (ONSITE)

What's the Job?

  • Designing and developing device-to-cloud connectivity modules for embedded systems
  • Implementing and maintaining MQTT-based communication for telemetry, alerts, and command/control flows
  • Developing embedded software using C++ on RTOS platforms (QNX or similar)
  • Integrating and optimizing networking stacks (TCP/IP, sockets, secure protocols)
  • Ensuring robustness, fault tolerance, and predictable behavior in real-time environments

What's Needed?

  • Experience with embedded software development in C++ on RTOS platforms
  • Knowledge of networking protocols such as TCP/IP, sockets, and secure communication protocols
  • Familiarity with MQTT or similar messaging protocols
