These products must perform reliably in demanding aerospace environments, requiring robust, certifiable embedded software aligned with industry standards. In this role, you will lead software architecture, implementation, integration, and verification activities that directly influence product performance, system safety, and long-term program success.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize embedded software in C and C++ for SPS sensing products.
  • Implement firmware for signal conditioning, sensor calibration, filtering algorithms, data acquisition, and mixed-signal hardware control.
  • Use additional languages and tools including Python, Assembly, and DXL.
  • Create and integrate SCADE model-based designs and support auto-generated code workflows.
  • Perform requirements analysis, decomposition, and traceability using IBM DOORS.
  • Use IBM EWM for configuration management, change control, and workflow tracking.
  • Conduct static and dynamic analysis, including structural coverage, using LDRA + TQD.
  • Support certification activities consistent with DO178C, including documentation development in Adobe FrameMaker.
  • Debug hardware/software interactions using debuggers, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.
  • Collaborate with Systems, Hardware, Test, Quality, and Manufacturing teams throughout development and verification cycles.
  • Participate in peer reviews of requirements, design, code, and test artifacts.
  • Lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions for software-related issues.
  • Mentor early-career engineers and provide technical leadership within Integrated Product Teams (IPTs).
