Job description

Behavioral Health Technician

$500 Sign-On Bonus! Pay: $19.00 per hour Schedule: Overnight: 8:00 PM โ€“ 6:00 AM

4-Day Work Week | 10-Hour Shifts | Overtime Available | Rotating Weekends

As a Behavioral Health Technician, you'll play a vital role in creating a safe, supportive environment for teenage girls facing mental health challenges. Your work helps clients build coping skills, reconnect with family, and move toward sustainable wellness using proven therapeutic approaches.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure Client Safety
    • Supervision of client emotional and physical safety
    • Provide early intervention ahead of and during emotional and behavioral crises
    • Maintain personal and professional boundaries
  • Align and Operate within the Treatment Team's Approach for Each Client
    • Attend to daily Treatment Team direction for updates on client treatment protocol application
    • Communicate and collaborate with supervisors and clinicians regarding client issues and notable progress
    • Document client progress notes daily
  • Provide Quality and Engaging Client Services
    • Encourage client engagement in activities of daily living (ADLs) and coping skill applications
    • Coach and develop client social skills
    • Plan and facilitate client activities in art, music, yoga, fitness, and a variety of other on and off campus activities
  • Grow and Develop with the Residential Team!
    • Practice a growth mindset with focus and application of the company core values
    • Integrate specialized trainings
    • Enjoy and contribute to ongoing professional development and growth

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Bachelor's Degree in psychology, social work or related field preferred, but not required.
  • 21+ years of age or older
  • Able to pass pre-employment drug screen
  • Able to pass criminal investigation background check
  • Current driver's license required
  • EMT/CNA background preferred
  • Ability to effectively communicate and build healthy relationships.
  • Ability to set and teach positive values
  • Ability to perform CPR and First-Aid.
  • Ability to safely hold or restrain an upset or combative student
  • Skill in de-escalating agitated students.
  • Preferred - One year of experience in a residential setting using relational, experiential, and systemic modalities.
  • Ability to plan, implement, and adjust to plans accordingly
