How much do bcba fbi jobs pay per year?

As of Jun 16, 2026, the average yearly pay for bcba fbi in the United States is $89,075.00, according to ZipRecruiter salary data. Most workers in this role earn between $74,000.00 and $90,500.00 per year, depending on experience, location, and employer.

What types of cases or situations does a BCBA typically assist with at the FBI?

BCBAs in the FBI often support investigations involving complex behavioral patterns, such as threat assessment, criminal profiling, crisis negotiation, and analyzing suspect or witness behavior. They work closely with agents, analysts, and other specialists to interpret behavioral data and inform investigative strategies. Daily responsibilities may include reviewing case files, conducting behavioral assessments, and advising teams during interviews or interrogations. Working in this role offers unique challenges—such as operating in high-stakes, confidential environments—but also provides rewarding opportunities to apply behavioral science to public safety.

How to become an FBI behavioral analyst?

To become an FBI behavioral analyst, candidates typically need a bachelor's degree in psychology, criminal justice, or a related field, along with relevant work experience or specialized training. Strong analytical, communication, and investigative skills are essential, and candidates often undergo FBI-specific training and background checks. Certification in behavioral analysis or related areas can enhance prospects in this role.

Is 30 too late to join FBI?

The FBI typically requires applicants to be between 23 and 36 years old, so starting a career at age 30 is within the acceptable age range. For roles like a Behavioral Analyst or FBI agent, relevant experience, education, and passing physical and background checks are also necessary, but age alone is generally not a barrier if within the specified range.

What is a BCBA FBI job?

A BCBA FBI job refers to a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) working within the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). These professionals apply behavioral analysis and scientific principles to assess, predict, and modify human behavior, often supporting criminal investigations, threat assessments, and crisis negotiations. They may work in specialized units such as behavioral analysis or victim support divisions. Their expertise in behavior modification and psychological assessment helps the FBI understand criminal patterns and improve intervention strategies.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in the Bcba Fbi position, and why are they important?

A BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) with the FBI needs a strong background in behavioral analysis, investigative procedures, and advanced knowledge of psychology, supported by a BCBA certification and relevant law enforcement experience. Proficiency with data analysis tools, case management systems, and specialized FBI investigative technologies is key. Exceptional analytical thinking, discretion, and clear communication are vital soft skills in this role. These abilities ensure effective behavioral profiling, contribute to successful investigations, and support collaboration within multidisciplinary law enforcement teams.

Can a BCBA work for the FBI?

A BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) is a certification for professionals specializing in behavior analysis, typically in clinical or educational settings. While BCBAs have expertise in behavior intervention and assessment, working directly for the FBI is uncommon, as the FBI generally hires for roles related to law enforcement, intelligence, or cybersecurity, which require different qualifications and clearances. However, some BCBAs with skills in behavioral analysis and forensic assessment may contribute to criminal investigations or behavioral profiling in specialized contexts.

How much does a behavior analyst for the FBI make?

Behavior analysts working for federal agencies like the FBI typically earn between $70,000 and $120,000 annually, depending on experience, education, and security clearance level. These roles often require specialized training in behavioral science and may involve working in high-stakes environments with a focus on criminal behavior analysis.
