Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Funeral Director and Embalmer to join our team. In this role, you will support families during their time of loss and ensure that all funeral arrangements and embalming procedures are carried out with professionalism and respect. This position is well-suited for individuals committed to delivering high-quality service in sensitive situations.

Responsibilities:

  • Meet with bereaved families to discuss funeral arrangements, including burial or cremation options, service location, and religious or cultural preferences

  • Assist families in selecting caskets, urns, and other funeral-related merchandise

  • Coordinate and manage all aspects of funeral services, including transportation, scheduling, and processions

  • Prepare and embalm the deceased, ensuring proper sanitation, preservation, and restoration

  • Apply cosmetics and perform grooming to prepare the deceased for viewing

  • Handle preparation and filing of required legal documentation, such as death certificates and permits

  • Provide emotional support and guidance to families throughout the process

  • Work with cemetery staff and clergy to ensure services are conducted smoothly and respectfully

  • Support general funeral home operations, including inventory management, maintenance, and regulatory compliance

Requirements:

  • Valid Funeral Director and Embalmer license (or ability to obtain within a short timeframe)

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • High attention to detail and ability to remain professional in emotional situations

  • Compassionate and supportive approach when working with families
