The Role and What You'll Do:

This position reports to the Vice President of Brand Marketing & Fan Engagement and is responsible for designing, executing, and continuously optimizing UFC's global email marketing strategy to drive fan engagement, revenue generation, and audience retention. The Email Marketing Manager oversees the development of campaign strategies, segmentation frameworks, and performance optimization plans across all business units.

This role owns the end-to-end lifecycle of email marketing initiatives, including strategic planning, content direction, audience targeting, testing methodologies, and analytics. The Email Marketing Manager leads cross-functional collaboration with internal stakeholders to align email campaigns with organizational priorities and ensures best-in-class execution through data-driven decision-making and process innovation.

  • Design, manage, and optimize a comprehensive global email marketing strategy, including newsletters, lifecycle campaigns, and revenue-driving initiatives.
  • Own and direct the execution of all email marketing campaigns, exercising judgment in campaign structure, messaging, segmentation, scheduling, and deployment.
  • Develop and implement advanced audience segmentation and targeting strategies to improve engagement, conversion, and retention across diverse fan cohorts.
  • Analyze campaign performance and translate data into actionable insights, continuously refining strategy through A/B testing, experimentation, and performance optimization.
  • Oversee the global email marketing calendar, ensuring strategic alignment with company-wide initiatives, key events, and revenue priorities.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration with teams including Consumer Products, Partnerships, UFC FIGHT PASS, Creative, and Corporate Communications to design and execute integrated campaigns.
  • Establish and enhance scalable processes and workflows to improve operational efficiency, campaign execution, and reporting accuracy.
  • Direct the development of reporting frameworks, dashboards, and KPIs, providing leadership with clear visibility into campaign effectiveness and business impact.
  • Partner with Data and CRM teams to manage audience data integrity, segmentation logic, and database growth strategies.
  • Oversee compliance and governance of email marketing practices, ensuring adherence to applicable regulations (CAN-SPAM, GDPR, CCPA) and internal standards.
  • Evaluate and optimize marketing technology platforms (e.g., Zeta, Marigold, Flowcode), recommending enhancements and ensuring effective system utilization.
  • Execute additional strategic projects and initiatives, proactively identifying opportunities to improve performance and expand marketing capabilities.

You Have These:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in email marketing, digital marketing, or CRM strategy.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and lead strategic marketing initiatives, balancing long-term planning with real-time execution.
  • Proven experience managing multiple complex projects simultaneously, with strong prioritization and decision-making skills.
  • Advanced analytical capabilities, including the ability to interpret data, exercise sound judgment, and drive performance-based decisions.
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally and influencing stakeholders across multiple business units.
  • Strong understanding of email marketing platforms and CRM systems, with the ability to adapt to and optimize new technologies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to guide messaging strategy and campaign direction.
  • High level of attention to detail, organization, and accountability in a fast-paced environment.
