Job Overview
The eMail Marketing & Automation role leads execution and operational management of Komatsu's end-to-end Notifications Engine across email and lifecycle channels within Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO) and Adobe Experience Platform (AEP).
This role is responsible for journey configuration, segmentation logic, orchestration workflows, suppression governance, delivery validation, and performance monitoring to ensure lifecycle communications are stable, compliant, and performance-driven.
Primary responsibilities include:
  • Configure and deploy trigger-based and lifecycle journeys within AJO
  • Build, validate, and maintain AEP audience segmentation logic
  • Govern suppression, consent, and CRM routing accuracy
  • Execute campaign deployments and validate operational readiness
  • Monitor automation performance, delivery health, and stability
  • Maintain structured documentation of workflows, configurations, and QA validation

Key Job Responsibilities
Decision Authority
Exercises operational authority over journey execution, audience configuration, and deployment validation within the Notifications Engine framework. Ensures readiness, compliance, and segmentation accuracy prior to campaign activation.
Authority Scope:
• Journey build execution within AJO
• Automation launch readiness validation
• Audience segmentation configuration in AEP
• Operational campaign deployment approval
PREDOMINANT TASKS
Executes day-to-day configuration and operational management of lifecycle communications across Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO) and Adobe Experience Platform (AEP).
Primary Activities:
• Configure automation workflows in AJO
• Build and validate AEP audiences
• Perform QA on suppression and consent enforcement
• Deploy campaigns and monitor delivery stability
• Troubleshoot routing, segmentation, or eligibility issues
• Maintain structured journey documentation
Notifications Engine Configuration & Stability
Ensures accurate orchestration, data integrity, and operational reliability of trigger-based communications across lifecycle touchpoints.
Key Responsibilities:
• Configure trigger-based journeys tied to behavioral or system events
• Validate event ingestion, eligibility rules, and audience entry logic
• Maintain suppression lists and consent enforcement governance
• Validate CRM routing logic and field-level mapping integrity
• Document configuration changes and maintain audit traceability
Campaign & Journey Execution
Builds, configures, validates, and deploys dynamic lifecycle messaging programs aligned to segmentation and personalization strategies.
Execution Responsibilities:
• Develop dynamic, modular email templates
• Configure decision logic, branching paths, and fallback logic
• Validate personalization tokens, dynamic content, and link tracking
• Coordinate deployment scheduling across campaigns and business units
• Conduct structured QA validation prior to activation
Performance & Operational Monitoring
Monitors ongoing system health, delivery performance, and engagement metrics to ensure stability and optimization of lifecycle programs.
Monitoring & Optimization Activities:
• Monitor open rates and click-through trends
• Track delivery performance, bounce rates, and suppression impacts
• Identify segmentation anomalies or eligibility irregularities
• Support structured A/B testing initiatives
• Escalate systemic technical issues to platform or engineering teams

Maintains operational documentation and system configuration artifacts required for continuity, governance, and scalability.

Qualifications/Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, marketing or a related field
  • Minimum of 2 years experience working with various business teams building dashboards and reports in CJA
  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience working with and implementing Adobe Customer Journey Analytics
  • Minimum of 2 years working in digital analytics, including experience working with tag management systems implementing advertising, tracking pixels and data stitching
  • Working knowledge of SQL, Python, JavaScript, and APIs for data processing and automation
  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on operational knowledge with Adobe Experience Platform, including CJA, AEP is essential.
  • Hands-on AEP integration and data collection: Demonstrated experience in working with Adobe Data Collection and integration with AEP
  • Experience with data governance, compliance and privacy regulations
  • Nice to have; hands-on experience working with Adobe Target, CDP and AJO
  • Strong organizational and presentation skills; ability to handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines and manage priorities, present, and share strategies, working across organizational teams to deliver results.
