What is an email developer?

An Email Developer is a specialized professional who designs, codes, tests, and optimizes email campaigns and newsletters for marketing or communication purposes. They use HTML and CSS to create responsive and visually appealing emails that render correctly across various email clients and devices. Email Developers also work closely with designers, marketers, and project managers to ensure emails meet branding guidelines and achieve desired outcomes, such as increasing engagement or conversions.

To thrive as an Email Developer, you need expertise in HTML, CSS, and responsive design, along with a strong understanding of email marketing best practices. Familiarity with email service providers (ESPs) like Mailchimp or Salesforce Marketing Cloud, as well as tools for testing and troubleshooting emails across clients, is typically required. What does an email developer do?

An email developer designs and builds email blasts for clients and marketing teams. In this career, your duties primarily revolve around creating templates in HTML.
