Job description

Job Title: Customer Support Representative
Client: Heavy Machine Manufacturing Company
Duration: 1 year with possible extension
Location: Johnston, IA 50131
Shift: 2nd shift (12 PM - 10 PM), including either Saturday or Sunday

Role Overview
The ISG R4 Support Team provides front-line technical support for dealers and customers regarding Intelligent Solutions Group (ISG) products. Support is delivered through phone, email, and chat while documenting all interactions in the case management system. The technician also contributes to creating and maintaining online support tools and resources.
Supported products include (but are not limited to):
  • Website/Dashboard
  • JDLink
  • Operations Center
  • Apex Farm Management
  • Stellar Support
  • Mobile applications
  • GreenStar Displays
  • StarFire Receivers
  • JDLink Terminals
  • AutoTrac and machine guidance systems

Major Responsibilities
  • Deliver technical support, product guidance, and troubleshooting assistance.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and dealers across multiple channels.
  • Document all cases accurately in the case management system.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining online support tools and resources.
  • Support occasional off-shift hours and holidays as required.
  • Provide data management assistance when needed.

Required Experience & Skills
  • Strong interpersonal communication and conflict-resolution abilities.
  • Prior customer service or technical support experience.
  • High comfort level working with consumer software applications.
  • Strong computer navigation and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to support occasional off-shift hours and holidays.
  • Experience working with data or data systems.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Degree in Business, Mathematics, Agriculture, IT, or any related field.
  • If no degree: a technical certification demonstrating understanding of IT/database concepts.

Training Details
  • Training and mentoring on the 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM shift for approximately 6 weeks.
  • Full productivity expected 3-4 months after start date.
  • Limited travel for:
    • Factory tour at Des Moines Works
    • Hands-on experience at Jensen Farms (twice per year)
    • Ride-alongs with full-time employees
