Job Overview
Position Summary
The Reservationist will set the tone for the entire guest experience through initial contact and relationship development, and assist with guest relations requests, needs, and concerns. The Reservationist will work closely with the Guest Services team, Event Sales team, and venue management to ensure the restaurant maximizes each guest experience from beginning to end, and ensure all guests are satisfied with their experience.
The perfect candidate is an effective and gracious communicator, reliable, willing to learn, and eager to provide excellent hospitality. The Reservationist must maintain a high level of integrity and be thoughtful, detail oriented, and willing to go the extra mile to comprehensively assist guests.
Key Responsibilities: Direct communication to mediate guest concerns and make reservations over the phone, in person, and virtually. The Reservationist is responsible for optimizing communication and maximizing business performance through effective reservation management. The Reservationist also plays an integral role with the Event Sales lifecycle, offering administrative support to event bookings.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Communicate with venue management daily
  • Interact with guests with positivity and composure in all circumstances
  • Maintain knowledge of restaurant concepts, location, transportation, management team, etc.
  • Monitor and respond to all communications; provide friendly, knowledgeable assistance to phone call and email inquiries
  • Navigate unsatisfied guest concerns while escalating serious issues to upper management
  • Perform administrative tasks including but not limited to billing, digital organization, and scheduling
  • Provide administrative support to the Event Sales team with organization of BEOs and the execution of other administrative tasks
  • Uphold established culture and values of Company
Minimum Qualifications
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to perform essential job functions when working in a high business volume, fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Experience with restaurant event planning a plus
  • Organizational skills
  • Familiarity with restaurant event booking and coordination a plus
  • Proficiency with computer-based technologies (familiarity with Google Suite, Toast POS, and Sevenrooms a plus)
