• Conduct thorough examinations to assess patient needs and accurately diagnose various pathologies.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on individual patient conditions and goals.
• Perform acupuncture treatments using various techniques including local acupuncture for acute injuries, cupping, and electro-acupuncture, where applicable.
• Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team, including physical therapists and chiropractic specialists, to create a comprehensive care plan that addresses all aspects of a patient's health.
• Engage actively in ongoing staff development through mentoring and educational initiatives, enhancing overall team capabilities and patient care.
• Explain the acupuncture processes to patients, ensuring they understand the treatment plans and feel comfortable throughout their care.
• Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to improve patient outcomes.
• Maintain clear and effective communication with both patients and other health professionals to ensure a cohesive treatment approach.
• Manage appointment schedules effectively while ensuring timely treatments to support a smooth clinic flow.

The Elixir Acupuncture Center serves a wide range of patients, from those with chronic pain and stress-related disorders to athletes requiring rehabilitation from injuries. Our focus on individualized care means that each acupuncturist will tailor treatments to meet the unique needs of their patients, ensuring that every individual receives the attention and expertise necessary for their recovery and health improvement.

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Acupuncture or a related field.
• A minimum of 3+ years of professional experience in acupuncture practice.
• Valid state licensure to practice acupuncture in New York.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to establish rapport with patients and collaborate effectively with the healthcare team.
• Ability to utilize palpation skills and comprehensive anatomy knowledge to identify accurate treatment points.

• Continuing Education Units (CEUs) in sports medicine acupuncture or trigger point acupuncture are advantageous.
• Specialization or certification in a subspecialty of acupuncture is preferred.
• Familiarity with medical billing and insurance processes is a plus to help streamline patient interactions.

The position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $20 to $75, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition, we provide bonuses based on performance and clinic success.
