VP, Financial Services GTM

Nscale

Seattle, WA • On-site

Full-time

Job description

About the role:Financial Services represents a highly lucrative, performance-obsessed market. Banks, massive hedge funds, quantitative trading firms, and leading fintechs have a huge, rapidly growing demand for dedicated AI infrastructure to power algorithmic trading, risk modeling, deep quantitative analysis, and generative AI integrations. We need a proven leader to come in, build the blueprint, and flawlessly execute this GTM motion. You will own the complete strategy and execution for bringing Nscale's high-density, low-latency infrastructure to these elite financial institutions. This is an incredibly complex market; you will author our compliance narrative, build sophisticated ROI models tailored specifically to the unique needs of trading desks, and personally close the initial mega-deals. Once you have cracked the code and established the playbook for selling into these heavily regulated environments, you will hire and lead a dedicated FinServ sales team to multiply your success.

Responsibilities:

  • Vertical Strategy Formulation: Develop the comprehensive, end-to-end blueprint for penetrating the heavily regulated Financial Services sector. You will identify distinct entry points, tailoring specific messaging for quantitative research teams versus central IT and procurement at major banks and trading firms.
  • End-to-End Deal Execution: Act as the lead commercial architect for all early FinServ prospects. You will personally navigate the incredibly complex security audits, compliance reviews (SOC2, sovereign data requirements), and grueling procurement hurdles unique to global financial institutions.
  • FinServ Value Engineering: Translate Nscale's raw compute power, liquid-cooled density, and low-latency networking into deeply compelling financial ROI models that resonate specifically with bank CIOs, risk officers, and trading desk CTOs.
  • Regulatory & Security Partnership: Partner tightly with Nscale's Legal and Security teams to ensure our infrastructure and contracting processes meet the stringent requirements of the financial sector, effectively turning compliance into a competitive advantage.
  • Industry Ambassadorship: Establish Nscale as a trusted, secure partner in the quantitative finance community by representing the company at elite industry conferences and building relationships with key financial technology integrators.

You may be a good fit if you have:

  • 12+ years of enterprise tech sales, business development, or GTM leadership focused exclusively on the Financial Services industry, ideally selling infrastructure, cloud, or high-performance computing solutions.
  • Intimate, highly technical knowledge of how quantitative hedge funds, High-Frequency Trading (HFT) firms, and large retail banks procure, evaluate, and utilize massive compute clusters.
  • A strong, immediate, and warm network of C-level executives, Chief Risk Officers, and IT/Infrastructure contacts at major global financial institutions and trading firms.
  • Unimpeachable professional credibility and a high IQ for grasping complex financial modeling workloads. You possess the sophistication and executive presence required to navigate multi-stakeholder deals inside the world's most rigid corporate structures.
  • Deep familiarity with financial compliance standards, data sovereignty requirements, and the specific security objections that arise when selling cloud services to banks.
