A global law firm consistently ranked among the top firms in the world, is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst - Client & Matter Management to join its dynamic team Los Angeles. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid
About the roleAs a Senior Financial Analyst - Client & Matter Management, you will be responsible for facilitating financial and analytically driven project & matter management support for the firm and its attorneys, and for working with the firm's Executive Leadership and Finance Managers on various projects that require in-depth analytical and critical-thinking skills.
Other key responsibilities include:
  • Working in a team environment to complete ad-hoc financial analysis, reports, and special projects related to project & matter management
  • Utilizing analytical skills and expert knowledge of business, economics, finance, and accounting to complete complex and routine requests including client, budget, and overall financial performance
  • Utilizing Elite financial system and Business Objects to obtain data, organize the information, build reports pertaining to client project performance, creating reports for management, and attorneys to review
  • Training, coaching, and mentoring junior analysts, leading them in their professional development endeavors
  • Partnering with the manager, supervisor, and leads to coordinate work activities, work flow, and daily functions
  • Training analysts in completing analysis and reporting tasks as requested
  • Facilitating administrative tasks pertaining to process efficiency, documentation, data entry, cross-training, and project tracking

And have:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, or a related field
    A minumum of four years of relevant analytical experience in finance, accounting, or project management, responding to ad-hoc requests, developing analysis, and producing reports is desired
  • Prior experience managing costs, fees, and budgets, along with previous experience in a customer-focused position is desired
