Description

Warehouse & Customer Service Associate Regular Position, Full Time Chicago, IL If you are a forward-thinker interested in a customer focused, warehouse environment, then keep reading! We are searching for one Warehouse & Customer Service Associate to join our Regional Service Center (RSC) team at Vantage Elevation.

Vantage Elevation, LLC is North America's leading independent manufacturer of elevator components and systems. Vantage is comprised of industry leading brands including GAL Manufacturing, Hollister-Whitney, Elevator Controls, Courion, BSIS, Bore-Max, Thames Valley Controls, and Vertical Dimensions. Through its brands, Vantage supplies almost all electro-mechanical devices used in contemporary elevators. Founded in 1927, the Vantage group employs over 900 staff in multiple locations across the United States, Canada, and United Kingdom.

Requirements

We are searching for a candidate with:

  • Minimum high school or GED diploma
  • At least 1 year of experience in a warehouse or customer service focused role
  • Previous experience working in the elevator industry is a strong asset
  • Experienced user of Microsoft Office Products and able to quickly learn additional internal software tools (i.e. ERP, point of sale systems)
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and highly flexible
  • Works as part of a purpose-driven team fostering excellent communication and a supportive working environment
  • Ability to operate a forklift is preferred
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and capable of physical labor
  • Must have a valid driver's license
Duties and Responsibilities

A typical day may include:

Branch Warehouse Management

  • Maintaining a safe environment at all times through regular cleaning, organizing, preventative and predictive maintenance and adherence to Vantage safety protocols.
  • Utilizing ERP (Infor Visual) for inventory transactions, receipts, transfers, reconciliations, ensuring timely and reliable data in the system.
  • Accurately filling customer orders from pick lists
  • Receiving all inventory into the designated location
  • Managing and maintaining appropriate inventory levels
  • Accurately cycle counting inventory at the designated location
  • Placing orders for inventory as needed
  • Maintaining organized and clean warehouse operations

Customer Service

  • Providing outstanding customer service to customers in-person, over the phone and via email.
  • Entering customer orders, searching for existing orders in our system, getting proper documents from the customer and shipping out all orders being pick up.
  • Learning part numbers and their functions.
  • Establishing and maintaining consistent procedures for customers to receive their orders in a timely manner.
  • Maintaining a list of money and checks given provided by customers.
  • Scanning all paperwork generated for the day into our system.
  • Identifying and resolving customer issues related to product quality, pricing, delivery, usages, and loss.
  • Acting as a partner to Vantage manufacturing sites in order to ensure smooth flow of jobs, orders and stock inventory between sites and RSC.
