Job description

Role Overview

Sodexo is seeking a Registered Dietitian for a Clinical Nutrition Manager position at Hackensack Meridian Southern Ocean Medical Center, a 176-bed community hospital inStafford Township, NJ, located in Southern New Jersey at the gateway to Long Beach Island.

In this leadership role, you will collaborate closely with a team of Clinical Nutrition Managers across the Hackensack MeridianHealth system while helping to strengthen and advance Clinicia, Sodexo's global brand for clinical and patient nutrition. This is a unique opportunity to drive innovation and elevate nutrition services across a large, diverse network.

Reimbursement for professional fees, including AND dues and CDR renewal

Three weeks of vacation, eight holidays and three personal days paid each year

(*four weeks of vacation after 12 months of service)

What You'll Do
  • manage the inpatient clinical nutrition program, including supervision of a team of 2.5 registered dietitians;
  • advocate to expand and promote the role of clinical nutrition throughout the facility;
  • foster a culture of learning that promotes career growth and professional development;
  • proactively seek out and maintain collaborative relationships with key stakeholders who are integral to moving department efforts forward;
  • drive Performance Improvement and Quality Management projects; and
  • collaborate on the implementation and management of Sodexo's meal service program and menu management system.

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement:

Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)

For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24:

Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)

Credentials Requirement:

Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire. In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire
Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire

Minimum Management Experience: At least 13 months experience supervising and directing people and other resources to achieve specific end results within limited timeframes.

Minimum Functional Experience: 3 years as experienced practitioner able to work unsupervised and provide professional supervision to developing practitioners
