Electronics Technician III
Panama City FL
Salary Range: $70,000-$75,000
MANDEX currently has a need for a Security Service Technician/Electronics Technician III to join our IESS (Integrated Electronic Security Systems) team based in Panama City, FL. The Technician will provide an integral role within the Installation team.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
  • Install, test, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and upgrade physical and electronic security systems.
  • Required to lift large and heavy objects (up to 75 lbs.), perform physical work such as pulling cables, climbing ladders, and working outdoors for extended periods of time.
  • Install panels, bend piping/conduit, perform system wiring of both low and high voltage power, and perform connection of both copper and fiber optics.
  • Programming/configuring security software applications required.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
  • Ten (10) years of practical experience, including: IESS (Integrated Electronic Security Systems) installation, electronics repair, maintenance, testing, and turnover.
  • Extensive experience with electronic and physical security systems.
  • Certified with Lenel and/or Bosch security systems is preferred.
  • Prefer experience in system installations, cable dressing, making/repairing connectors, connecting electrical power including 220 Volt, rigid and EMT conduit installation including conduit bending, and fiber optics cable installation and termination.
  • Must be willing and able to travel at least 50%

Education:
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Formal electronics training from:
    • Technical School, or
    • Class A or B military school in electronics or communications,
    • or four (4) year electronics apprentice program.
  • Formal electronics training, to include Installation Tasks, Soldering, Cable Dressing, Cable Tray, Conduit, and Making/Repairing Connectors.

Security:
  • Must be eligible for, or able to obtain, a clearance.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
