Electronics Repair & Assembly Technician

Location: Lincolnshire, IL Full-Time | Contract with Temp-to-Hire Opportunity

Pay & Shifts:

1st Shift: Monday–Friday | 6:45 AM – 3:15 PM | $17.50/hour

2nd Shift: Monday–Friday | 3:45 PM – 12:15 AM | $18.50/hour

Are you passionate about repairing electronics and working with innovative technology? We're looking for detail-oriented Electronics Repair & Assembly Technicians to join a growing team supporting the repair, testing, and assembly of advanced electronic equipment. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy hands-on work, troubleshooting, and building technical skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Repair a wide range of printers, including mobile/handheld devices and large-format printers.
  • Perform mechanical repairs, inspections, cleaning, testing, and final quality inspections.
  • Troubleshoot customer-reported issues and accurately diagnose product failures.
  • Document repair activities, including symptom codes and reasons for parts replacement.
  • Follow established work instructions, repair procedures, and quality standards.
  • Meet daily productivity and quality expectations while maintaining accuracy.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts through process standardization and documentation updates.
  • Work independently and collaboratively to resolve routine technical issues.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent vocational qualification.
  • Experience in electronics repair, assembly, or a related technical field preferred.
  • Basic hand soldering experience is a plus but not required
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written instructions and processes.
  • Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency for documentation and data entry.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Reliable attendance and a positive, professional attitude.
  • Ability to bend, reach, lift, and stand for extended periods throughout the shift.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and following established procedures.
