Job description

Job Summary
Working with 20-50%supervision, the Electrical Panel Assembler II performs a variety of assembly operations associated with multiple electrical and mechanical products. Work is completed according to written procedures, drawings, and established workmanship standards. Products includes electrical panels and sub-assemblies with a range of complexity for integration with capital equipment. Examples include, but are not limited to, power distribution panels, motor controls, and other types of electrical control panels.
Duties and Responsibilities
โ€ข Assemble products per assembly process specifications.
โ€ข Effectively communicate with team members, both verbally and in writing.
โ€ข Work in a team environment with a positive attitude and support the success of the team.
โ€ข Assemble, terminate, and wire electrical panels and electrical boxes using the specified tooling and approved workmanship standards, including complete installation into enclosures.
โ€ข Work with written instructions, mechanical drawings, bills of materials, wire run lists and electrical schematics.
โ€ข Perform point to point wiring on a variety of electrical panels and power distribution electrical boxes; using company supplied hand tools, such as crimpers and wire strippers.
โ€ข Integrate sub-assemblies, electrical panels, chassis, power supplies and connecting cables.
โ€ข Perform co-builds with customers and/or project teams with limited support to learn new product builds and transfer knowledge to other assemblers.
โ€ข Learn new product builds and transfer knowledge to other assemblers.
โ€ข Work independently and with groups ranging from 2-8 people.
โ€ข Work with Engineering and Quality Control relating to assembly requirements, workmanship standards and customer product specifications.
Qualifications
โ€ข High School diploma or GED, with 2+ years experience, prefer technical school or equivalent experience.
โ€ข Good communication skills (English), both written and verbal.
โ€ข Strong attention to detail, focus, and highest standards for quality.
โ€ข Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
โ€ข Experience wiring electrical panels and/or electrical sub-assemblies.
โ€ข Experience with hand tools such as crimpers, wire strippers, screwdrivers, tape measures, wrenches, and torque wrenches.
โ€ข Demonstrated ability to operate hand and power tools associated with electrical wiring work.
โ€ข Has worked on large scale capital equipment a plus.
โ€ข Able to analyze problems and offer solutions.
Working Environment
โ€ข Approximately 90% of the work is performed in a precision, light industrial production area. The remaining time will be spent in office and warehouse areas.
Physical Requirements
โ€ข While performing the duties of the job, the associate is regularly required to stand for an extended amount of time, walk and reach with hands and arms.
โ€ข Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
