Position Summary

The Janitorial Technician is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized environment throughout the manufacturing facility, offices, and common areas. This role supports the operation of a high-reliability electronics manufacturing (SMT / PCBA) facility by ensuring production areas, workspaces, and shared facilities meet cleanliness and safety standards.

The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively in a manufacturing environment with minimal supervision.


Key ResponsibilitiesFacility Cleaning & Maintenance
  • Clean and maintain manufacturing floors, offices, restrooms, break rooms, and conference areas

  • Sweep, mop, and maintain production floors and walkways

  • Empty trash and recycling bins throughout the facility

  • Clean windows, glass surfaces, doors, and walls as needed

  • Maintain cleanliness in receiving, warehouse, and staging areas

Production Area Support
  • Maintain clean floors and walkways in SMT production areas

  • Follow ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) safety requirements when working near electronics manufacturing equipment

  • Ensure no contamination or debris enters production areas

  • Support housekeeping standards required for electronics manufacturing environments

Restroom & Common Area Maintenance
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms daily

  • Refill supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper

  • Maintain cleanliness of employee break rooms and kitchens

  • Clean and maintain locker rooms and common areas

Waste Management
  • Collect and dispose of facility waste

  • Separate general waste, recycling, and manufacturing waste

  • Transport trash to designated dumpster areas

  • Assist with cardboard recycling and material disposal

Safety & Compliance
  • Follow all facility safety procedures and PPE requirements

  • Report spills, hazards, or maintenance issues immediately

  • Maintain safe cleaning practices around sensitive manufacturing equipment

  • Support 5S and facility organization standards


QualificationsRequired
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

  • Prior janitorial or facility cleaning experience preferred

  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical work throughout the shift

  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic

Preferred
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment

  • Familiarity with ESD-safe environments

  • Experience supporting 5S or facility organization standards


Work Environment

This position works in a mixed office and electronics manufacturing environment, including production floors with SMT equipment, warehouse areas, and office spaces.

Employees may be required to:

  • Wear ESD protection and PPE

  • Work around manufacturing equipment

  • Use cleaning chemicals and janitorial equipment

Pay Range
$19—$23 USD
