As Commodity Manager for key equipment and material suppliers at the SkyWater Austin semiconductor manufacturing facility, you'll ensure supply of parts and materials to achieve planned factory operations,conduct strategic sourcing initiatives, plan and implement negotiations using data analytics, benchmark, and cost management. Activities will include identifying cost savings, supplier management, supply continuity and building trusting supplier relationships.
Responsibilities:
  • Identify supply disruptions and define solutions to minimize business impact.
  • Develop & execute Indirect sourcing strategy for goods and services.
  • Analyze spend and market trends to develop category strategies.
  • Partner with stakeholders in negotiations for strategic sourcing events.
  • Monitor supplier performance through key metrics and facilitate improvement programs and necessary supplier corrective actions.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree with focus on science, technology or business.
  • 3+ years experience in a procurement role, preferably in a technology manufacturing environment. Familiarity with semiconductor suppliers desired.
  • In-depth knowledge of strategic sourcing and category management.
  • Extensive experience in negotiations through data analytics.
  • Aptitude in decision-making and working with data.
  • Experience with Oracle NetSuite ERP software desired.
  • Superior customer service and supplier interaction skills.
  • Experience with quality management tools such as FMEA, 8D analysis and audits.
  • This role will be a hybrid position in our Austin, Texas location.
