Job description

Responsibilities:

  • Builds, tests, troubleshoots, repairs and modifies automotive electronics and associated custom test equipment.
  • Sets up standard lab equipment or test equipment and circuitry to conduct functional, operational, environmental, and life tests to evaluate performance and reliability of prototype or production model.
  • Creates charts, graphs and reports to document test results
  • Reviews and supports development of test procedures. 
  • Maintains lab equipment including calibration.
  • Assemble test harnesses

Qualifications:

  • Education – Associate's degree in electronics technology or equivalent training and experience.
  • Experience – 3 or more years of experience as electronics or electrical technician (automotive electronics preferred). Demonstrated creativity, precision and craftsmanship in building and testing electronics circuits, assemblies and test equipment. Understands DVP&Rs and performed validation testing.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Works well in cross-functional teams
  • Able to use common electronic lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, function generators and soldering irons.
  • Experience with EMC equipment is preferred
