Are you a hands-on technician who enjoys troubleshooting equipment, solving technical challenges, and working alongside engineers? We are seeking a Production Engineering Technician to support advanced automated manufacturing operations in a clean, high-tech production environment. In this role, you'll operate and maintain automated production equipment, perform equipment calibrations, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, and assist Production and Process Engineers with process improvements and equipment reliability. Your expertise will help maximize equipment uptime, improve product quality, and support efficient manufacturing operations. Responsibilities
  • Operate and monitor automated manufacturing equipment to ensure continuous production.
  • Perform equipment setup, calibration, verification, and routine preventive maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and software-related equipment issues.
  • Perform basic equipment repairs and adjustments to minimize production downtime.
  • Assist engineers with root cause analysis, failure investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collect production data and maintain detailed equipment performance, maintenance, and calibration records.
  • Support engineering during equipment qualification, process development, and validation activities.
  • Rework failed devices and components following established procedures.
  • Provide technical support and backup for production operators as needed.
  • Follow all cleanroom, quality, and safety procedures while maintaining an organized work environment.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support production and engineering operations.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education
  • Vocational Certificate or Associate Degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, Industrial Technology, or a related technical field preferred.
  • High School Diploma or GED with relevant manufacturing experience will also be considered.
Experience
  • Minimum one year of experience operating, maintaining, or troubleshooting manufacturing equipment.
  • Three or more years of experience in semiconductor, electronics, photonics, or automated manufacturing environments preferred.
  • Experience with automated machinery, sensors, pneumatic systems, robotic equipment, or production automation is highly desirable.
  • Experience using microscopes, soldering equipment, hand tools, and precision measuring instruments is a plus.
Skills
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and production data entry.
  • PLC, CAD, or basic programming experience is a plus.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow complex technical procedures.
