Job Description
Teledyne Controls is a global leader in avionics data acquisition, aircraft connectivity, and flight information systems used throughout commercial aviation. We are seeking a Manufacturing Technician to support the production, testing, troubleshooting, and rework of high-reliability electronic equipment installed on commercial aircraft.
This role ensures that avionics hardware meets rigorous aerospace performance and quality standards. Candidates may be early-career engineers seeking hands-on experience or experienced technicians looking to apply advanced troubleshooting skills in a structured manufacturing environment.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in electronics, engineering technology, or related field and a minimum of three years of relevant industry experience OR
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering Technology, or related field (substitutes for required experience)
  • Ability to interpret production illustrations, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
  • Ability to perform mathematical operations involving decimals and fractions
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively, provide constructive feedback, and support team objectives

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Complex Assignments: Perform work of moderate complexity requiring independent judgment in identifying issues, resolving problems, and making routine recommendations.
  • Avionics Testing: Conduct functional and acceptance testing of avionics equipment used on commercial aircraft, including Environmental Stress Screening (ESS) to verify product reliability.
  • Electronic Troubleshooting: Diagnose and isolate faults in analog and digital circuits using oscilloscopes, multimeters, circuit testers, Automated Test Equipment (ATE), microprocessor emulators, and data analyzers.
  • Component-Level Repair: Troubleshoot and rework electronic assemblies down to the component level with minimal assistance.
  • Technical Interpretation: Interpret symbols, notes, wiring details, and production documentation to perform accurate assembly, test, and rework activities.
  • Quality at the Source: Ensure accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to quality requirements during all handling, testing, and documentation processes.
  • Team Collaboration: Work cooperatively with technicians, engineers, and production staff to support workflow, resolve issues, and maintain on-time delivery.

This position requires consistent attention to detail, adherence to established procedures, and the ability to work within a structured aerospace manufacturing environment. Salary Range:
$44,500.00-$59,300.000
The anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate. Actual compensation for successful candidates is carefully determined based on several factors including, but not limited to, location, education/training, work experience, key skills, and type of position.
