Electronic Engineering Technologist - Onsite Position

As our Electronic Engineering Technologist, you will be responsible for all aspects of product design verification testing and qualification; you must be resourceful and able to overcome new challenges using your skills coupled with innovative approaches. In a nutshell, we need your sharp expertise to help verify new embedded products, implement product enhancements and contribute to process improvements.

Salary Range: $61,700 - $82,300 plus bonus opportunity

Your Challenge:

  • Debug and Test new embedded products at the forefront of technology

  • Support and enhance existing embedded products

  • Champion test automation for embedded products

  • Apply established development processes and assist in process improvements

  • Generate complete and accurate user and design documentation

  • Provide input and evaluation of new technologies and products

  • Keep current with embedded hardware trends and share knowledge

  • Contribute to the release of manufacturing technical data packages for products

  • Participate in maintaining a positive and productive atmosphere within the team

What you Bring:

  • Completion of a Computer Systems Technology or Electronic Technologist Program

  • Board level development and hands on lab experience (CO-OP Experience is applicable)

  • Experience/familiarity in the following is an asset:

    • Experience working with a multi-disciplined team

    • Familiar with a product development process

    • Familiar with hardware test equipment -- logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, etc.

    • Experience in basic electronics, electronics testing & debugging

    • Familiarity with principles of high-speed digital circuit board design including signal integrity concepts

    • Experience with CAD tools and/or test automation

    • Experience with electronics soldering

    • Hobby projects with Raspberry Pi and/or Arduino

  • Be a driven and motivated self-starter with a keen interest to learn

  • Strong understanding of electronics and engineering principals and application to real world use

  • Strong sense of responsibility, commitment to quality and achieving deadlines

  • Strong debug and problem-solving skills

  • Experience in test automation with Python

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Results-oriented team player who leads by example, holds themselves accountable for performance, takes ownership of their responsibilities, and champions process improvement initiatives
