Job description

FCI BASICS, a business unit within Amphenol Communications Solutions, is seeking a highly motivated Distribution Manager North America to drive strategic growth through our distribution channel partners. This role will be responsible for developing and executing distribution strategies, strengthening key distributor relationships, and expanding revenue opportunities across North America.

The ideal candidate will bring experience working directly for, or closely with, major electronic component distributors and have a demonstrated track record of driving sales growth, increasing market share, and developing successful channel partnerships.

This position is well-suited for an individual who enjoys building relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and collaborating across sales, product management, and distribution teams to achieve aggressive growth objectives.

Location Preferred: Harrisburg, PA / Etters, PA area or surrounding regions within Pennsylvania (including Pittsburgh area)

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow relationships with key North American distribution partners.
  • Develop and execute channel growth strategies to increase revenue, market penetration, and customer engagement.
  • Identify new business opportunities through distribution networks and coordinate activities with internal sales teams.
  • Drive distributor performance through regular business reviews, pipeline management, forecasting, and strategic planning.
  • Partner with distributor sales teams to develop account penetration strategies and support customer acquisition efforts.
  • Monitor sales performance, bookings, backlog, and market trends to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Conduct distributor training sessions and product presentations to improve market awareness and sales effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Marketing, Customer Service, and Regional Sales teams to support channel initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts and provide regular updates on channel performance.
  • Represent FCI BASICS at customer visits, distributor meetings, industry events, and trade shows as needed.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 310 years of experience in sales, channel management, distribution management, business development, or account management within the electronics, interconnect, connector, or related industries.
  • Experience working directly for or closely with major electronic component distributors such as:
    • Arrow Electronics
    • Avnet
    • Mouser Electronics
    • DigiKey Electronics
    • Future Electronics
  • Proven track record of growing revenue and achieving sales targets through distribution channels.
  • Strong relationship-building and account management skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities.
  • Ability to analyze sales data and develop actionable growth strategies.
  • Willingness to travel throughout North America as required.

Preferred

  • Experience within the connector, interconnect, electronic components, or electromechanical industries.
  • Existing relationships with distributor leadership and field sales organizations.
  • Experience supporting OEM, EMS, Datacom, Industrial, or Commercial Electronics customers.
