The Electronic Assembly Technician is part of the production team and will take part in the day-to-day operations of manufacturing electronic assemblies and RF drivers.

Primary Duties:

  • Build, test, troubleshoot, and repair electronic RF drivers, along with other electronic and mechanical sub-assemblies, in a clean room and ESD controlled environment.
  • Take responsibility for ensuring that all products shipped meet the highest quality standards.
  • Pay exceptional attention to detail.
  • Work with the production, quality and engineering teams to update and maintain work instructions and data collection/reporting documents.
  • Use the ERP system to track jobs and production time.
  • Improve tooling, setup, and equipment related to the electronic assembly process.
  • Contribute your expertise to continuous improvement and product improvement initiatives.
  • Assist other departments or teams when needed, demonstrating a collaborative and team-oriented mindset to help achieve the overall success of the company.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Standard Job Requirements:

  • Good hands-on skills for building, troubleshooting and repairing electronic assemblies.
  • 5+ yearsโ€™ experience in a hands-on electronics assembly and/or testing role for a high-tech manufacturer with primary duties including Soldering of SMT and Through-Hole technology, Electronic and Mechanical assembly, and verification testing.
  • Experience with measurement/test equipment, such as oscilloscopes, function generators, multimeters, network analyzers, as well as hand tools.
  • Excellent attention to detail and demonstrated ability to meticulously follow defined processes.
  • Ability to lift up to 30lbs on a routine basis with the ability to occasionally lift up to 50lbs.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team atmosphere.
  • Strong organization skills and computer skills.
  • Willingness to listen and learn from experienced technicians.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.

Highly Desirable Additional Skills/Experience:

  • An associateโ€™s degree in electronics technology, engineering technology, or similar fields of study
  • IPC and J-STD soldering certifications.
  • In-depth knowledge of electronics manufacturing practices.
  • An understanding of and previous experience with RF power supplies.
  • Previous job experience with Lean Manufacturing and 5S concepts
