EA SPORTS is one of the leading sports entertainment brands in the world, with top-selling videogame franchises and award-winning interactive technology. EA SPORTS creates connected experiences that ignite the emotion of sport through industry-leading sports video games.

As a Sr. Development Director for EA Tiburon, you will work in a hybrid model at our EA Orlando Studio and report to the Sr. Director, Development Strategy and Growth. You will be accountable for the overall execution of a large-scale project, ensuring it is completed on time, within quality standards, and budget. You will own the risk registry and collaborate closely with stakeholders to ensure the team has the tools, processes, and information to succeed.

Leadership Responsibilities
  1. Lead a cross-functional, global team, creating an environment for autonomous execution.
  2. Serve as the main point of contact for escalation issues, resolving problems effectively.
  3. Communicate project progress to teams, partners, and upper management.
  4. Inspire the team to achieve operational excellence and mentor operational leaders.
  5. Develop strong working relationships with the team and key stakeholders.
Project Management Responsibilities
  1. Lead the team through the full project cycle, validating sub-team plans and driving milestones.
  2. Identify risks and dependencies, setting mitigation plans to minimize impact.
  3. Guide the team in tradeoffs and prioritization, balancing business needs with technical constraints.
  4. Drive team and resource planning, anticipating skill gaps and operationalizing solutions.
  5. Design standard processes and identify project-wide improvements.
  6. Manage budget and provide accurate forecasts of controllable R&D expenses.
Qualifications
  1. 10+ years of project management and operations experience, including managing large or multiple projects.
  2. 5+ years experience in project management on AAA game franchises or similar software development projects.
  3. 5+ years of people management and leadership experience.
  4. Experience with software development methodologies and processes.
  5. Proficient in project management and collaboration tools, including JIRA.
