Job Description Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technician II Location: Rockville, MD Pay: $33.65-$40.87/hour Job Type: Full-Time Position Overview M Force Partners is seeking an experienced Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technician II to support the development of automated manufacturing systems and production equipment. This Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technician II role will perform technician-level engineering activities including assembly, testing, troubleshooting, calibration, prototyping, and system integration while supporting engineering teams throughout the product development lifecycle. The ideal Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technician II will have strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, experience building and troubleshooting control systems, and the ability to work independently on complex automation and prototype projects

Key Responsibilities Assemble, test, calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair electronic and electro-mechanical systems Build and wire complex control panels and automated systems from engineering drawings and schematics Design, fabricate, and assemble test fixtures and prototype equipment Source electronic and mechanical components based on engineering specifications Lead or support development of assembly, testing, calibration, and repair procedures Perform system integration, testing, and troubleshooting activities Maintain prototype component inventories and engineering development materials Maintain tools, equipment, and laboratory inventories supporting engineering projects Read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation Route wiring and perform wire termination, crimping, and terminal block installation Test and troubleshoot electrical panels and identify faulty components Support engineering teams with prototype development and automation projects Follow all laboratory safety procedures and company safety standards Support additional engineering projects and initiatives as assigned Required Qualifications Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree Minimum of 4 years of electro-mechanical technician experience Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills Experience assembling, testing, and repairing electro-mechanical equipment Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams Experience using: Multimeters Soldering and desoldering equipment Inspection equipment Hand tools and power tools Basic machine shop equipment Knowledge of standard wiring practices and electrical panel assembly Experience troubleshooting electrical control panels Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and Excel Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Excellent communication and organizational skills Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting automation equipment or automated manufacturing systems Experience working with prototype or low-volume electro-mechanical systems Experience supporting engineering research and development environments Knowledge of industrial controls, sensors, and automation equipment Experience developing assembly and testing procedures Job presented by M Force Partners M Force Partners is a specialized recruitment partner connecting top-tier talent with leading organizations.
