As a strong Construction Electrician, building data centers focus oninstalling high-capacity, mission-critical power infrastructure (3-phase systems, generators, UPS, 4160V69kV gear). They ensure 24/7 reliability, transitioning skills from refineries/plants to build, commission, and maintain power distribution units, switchgear, and complex grounding systems.

  • Install medium/high voltage switchgear, backup generators, transfer switches (ATS), Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems, and power distribution units (PDUs).
  • Install cable trays, conduit, and feeders to support massive power density.
  • Conduct, test, and commission electrical equipment; perform load bank testing.
  • Adhere to strict safety standards, includingNFPA 70EandOSHA 30, in a high-voltage, mission-critical environment.
  • Read complex blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams, coordinate with mechanical and IT staff

To truly master this role, you should bring the following skills and qualifications:


  • Active Journeyman or Master Electrician license.
  • 35+ years of industrial, oilfield, or heavy commercial electrical experience.
  • Strong understanding of 3-phase systems, high-voltage equipment, and National Electrical Code (NEC).
  • OSHA 30, NFPA 70E (Electrical Safety in the Workplace).
  • The ability to read and comprehend written materials, drawings, and instructions
  • Experience with Hexagon Smart Completions Software
  • Proficiency in preparing detailed technical reports
  • Computer skills, including MS Office (Word, Excel)
  • An unwavering commitment to maintaining confidentiality
  • A sharp eye for detail
  • A valid driver's license
  • Eligible to work in the US
  • A willingness to travel
  • Relevant certifications in First Aid/CPR, H2S Awareness, Defensive Driving, OSHA 10, Fall Protection, and Aerial Lift / Elevated Work Platform
  • Familiarity with electrical engineering, design, and construction processes are desirable
