Wachter is accepting applications for a Traveling licensed Journeyman Electrician for service work for our clients in various commercial and industrial environments.  We are looking for candidates who  have experience as an Industrial and Commercial Electrician, and loves to travel.  

We seek self-motivated and reliable technicians who can work independently and find solutions to complete the job. Long-term employment with competitive pay and exceptional benefits for qualified candidates. We value relationships and invest in our employees. 

What You Would Do:
  • Inspect and test electrical components to diagnose problems, repair broken electrical components, and install updates for outdated electrical systems.
  • Troubleshoot electrical problems and install new wiring or other components to fix lighting, fuse boxes, and generators.
  • Conduct tests to ensure all newly installed electrical systems and component devices are operational.
  • Ensure electrical systems meet local, county, state, or federal codes; legal and/or insurance requirements.
  • Adhere to all required project safety requirements as set forth by Wachter, our customers, or OSHA.
  • Perform any other duties not specifically stated herein, but which your supervisor may assign.
What We Are Looking For:
  • Experience as a Commercial and/or Industrial Electrician.
  • Available for travel in your state and surrounding states as needed per the job.
  • Travel could be 3 to 6 weeks at a time before coming home.
  • Flexible and willing to work on-call, day, night, or weekend shifts as the job requires.
  • Available to work overtime as needed.
  • Dependable – must show up to work on time daily.
  • Must have reliable transportation with insurance, driving your own vehicle as needed until approved for a company vehicle.
  • Safety conscious, follow all applicable PPE guidelines.
  • Has basic hand tools and PPE.
  • Self-motivated, career-minded, looking for a place with advancement opportunities.
  • Outstanding troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent customer relationship and communication skills; verbal and written.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Certified to operate a BOOM or scissor lift, and ability to work at heights.
  • Able to pass drug and background screening.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; no DUI or DWI in the last three years.
